Housequake

Roog & Erick E in short

Pendulum DJ Set & Verse

Pendulum formed in their home-town of Perth (Western Australia) in 2002, when producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen teamed up with acclaimed local DJ Paul 'Elhornet' Harding. While their individual formative roots ranged from producing drum & bass, breakbeat and hardcore, to playing in metal and punk bands, their comparable talents proved an unstoppable force when they managed to single-handedl...y conquer the world of drum & bass in their first 12 months together.

"We want our music to be an escape. While technology continues to constantly advance production techniques and (arguably) sound quality, something has been lost in the process - that original sense of self-escape, the idea of leaving yourself open to experience something you don't necessarily find in every-day life. That was the energy we picked up on and liked about electronic music when we first got into it. It felt like the same energy found with bands like Led Zeppelin and even The Beatles, and still occasionally today with bands like Tool, The Mars Volta, Queens Of The Stone Age and others.

To us, it made perfect sense to combine the best of both worlds, but it had to be done in a way that didn't make it sound obvious. In the last 10 years you've had all these bands that tried to cross the bridge by recruiting a turntablist / using a synthesizer on their new single, or electronic artists who just threw an obvious guitar sample into a tune...but eventually it just came across as a g

The opposites Live

Crookers

Phra and Bot aka Crookers, The first born and raised in Omegna, a picturesque town of Lake Orta, the second in Milan. Together they are the young italian duo who, for some years now, have been travelling on and on in every continent known to man, setting dance floors and millions of people’s eardrums on fire.
Let’s take a step backward: In 2007 the first overpowering mixtape signed Crookers emerge...s from the lake’s darkness: A deep house and rap based experiment that brakes every sound barrier, slipping into genius.
This first challenge doesn’t pass unnoticed and throws the duo out to an endless series of guesting in the best italian and european underground clubs. From the beginning, their style is characterized by an apparently impossibile but fully functional musical constellation: street style, rap, house, fidget and trance.
In 2008 Crookers’ range choice goes off with "Day 'n' Nite", a remix of, at the time unknown, Kid Cudi. The hit enters the U.K. charts at 2# (giving way to Lady Gaga) and guarantees Crookers a place in world’s dance Hall of Fame.
They are asked to remix for Armand Van Helden and Chemical Brothers, who state, "The Italians are something to look out for". Praises from Black Eyed Peas’ Will I Am and Norman Cook, otherwise known as Fat Boy Slim, will soon be added to those of the two londoner fake brothers. Hereafter it’s a non stop rising.
Axwell

The king of the sun-kissed summer anthem; the mogul behind one of the hottest imprints on the planet; a superstar producer and DJ who’s never lost the giddy enthusiasm of a fledgling clubber; and one of the most successful and influential remixers of the 21st century. By anyone’s standards, Axel ‘Axwell’ Hedfors is a giant of modern-day dance music – and he’s only going to get bigger.

Axwell’s st...eady ascent into clubland aristocracy began when he struck crossover gold with 2004’s glorious ‘Feel The Vibe’. An unstoppably uplifting and instantly memorable track, the original version of ‘Feel The Vibe’ (featuring vocalist Errol Reid) dazzled every corner of clubland, before an overhauled version (with new vocals by Tara McDonald) gate-crashed the UK top 20. 2005’s ‘Watch The Sunrise’ (featuring Steve Edwards) proved to be another unstoppable anthem, as was his 2006 collaboration with fellow Swedish House Mafioso Steve Angello, Supermode’s ‘Tell Me Why’ (released via Ministry Of Sound, it reach #13 in the UK and #3 in the Netherlands). But it was 2007’s rave-referencing ‘I Found U’ (#6 in the UK charts) that really cemented Axwell’s status as a producer who could marry artistic innovation with strong commercial appeal – a rare thing indeed, in any genre of music. Most recently he was one of the forces behind Swedish House Mafia &ndas

Tom Harding

Tom Harding represents the new school of dance music” Mixmag 2003

Tom Harding has been pioneering underground dance music on the dance floors of Europe for the past ten years. Having won awards from Mixmag, Club UK and Muzik, he quickly found himself plunged into the DJing super league and, before he knew it, was spinning alongside such legends as Carl Cox, Andy Weatherall and Laurent Garnier at the tender age of 19. With a high profile start like this it is perhaps not surprising that a decade later Tom is regarded as a leading light on the international dance music scene. It was when Tom headlined the 60,000 strong Dance Valley festival in Holland billed above the likes of Carl Cox, Hardfloor and Goldie that he truly came of age. Since then he has been the subject of BBC, ITV, TMF and MTV documentaries, notched up three number one selling albums in the Dutch charts and has exported his unique brand of dance music across the globe from Ibiza to Australia and from Israel to Japan.

He still holds his 10 year residency at the legendary HQ club night in Amsterdam and is not only responsible for bringing British dance music to Holland, but also shaping the Dutch dance scene as a whole. Before Tom’s arrival and the HQ phenomenon few had heard of hard dance in Holland and now, a decade on, it is the largest scene in the country which goes some way towards explaining why Tom has been voted Holland’s most popular international DJ four times.
Ferry Corsten

Producer. DJ. Pioneer. Innovator. Visionary. He’s the man that singlehandedly initiated a revolution in a dance musicgenre -one that’s long since touched everycorner of the globe. Having designed the Dutch trance sound, he propelled it into the clubbing consciousness and on further still into popular culture. From there he continues to innovate at every turn, working with vocalists as diverse as SimonLe Bon and Guru and has remixed music from some of the planet’s most enduring artists - U2, The Killers, Faithless, Moby and William Orbit among them. For 20 years he’s foreseen what club citizens want to dance to and as an artisan DJ/producer, delivered it. He’s released three artist albums under his own name (with a fourth ‘WKND’ scheduled for February 2012)and in doing so has captured the hearts and minds of legions of fans and scooped some of the world’s most prestigious music prizes along the way. He’s regularly ranked as one of the top 10DJs in the world, and of late has turned to charitable activities, working with the World Wildlife Fund.Yet through all this he’s still one of the most down-to-earth, two-feet-on-the-floor DJs you’ll find. He’s Ferry Corsten.
Marco Bailey

Marco Bailey grew up in a small village in Belgium. Nothing much happened there really, but he did learn that one doesn’t achieve much without working hard. He is a true hedonist but a workaholic as well. Marco loves to work hard and spin records as much as possible; sleeping is for later. Therefore, his colleagues know him for his no-nonsense & ass-kicking mentality.

Having a superstar status in Belgium, he travels the world playing the biggest events as well as the small intimate clubs. His mixture of party techno, minimal and electronic house means he is a permanent fixture at all major European festivals and clubs. With love, hard work and fantastic sounds he has succeeded in gaining worldwide recognition. Playing events like Global Gathering UK , WIRE Yokohama Japan , Extrema Outdoor (NL), Awakenings (NL), I Love Techno (BE), Nature One (DE), Monegros (SP) and clubs such as Ageha (Tokyo Japan ) Zouk (SG), Space (ES), Fabrik (ES) , Matter (UK) , Fabric (UK) , REX (FR) , Space (Miami US) , Avalon (los Angeles U.S) ,Fuse (Bel) , Industrial Copera (ES) and Chinese Laundry (AU) and so many many more ..he has made clear that he still is a big force to recon with.

Killer releases on Intec Rec, Primate, Zync & Tortured, confirmed his strong reputation as a producer over the last eight years. He has since set up MB Elektronics & MB Selektions to release high quality music and remixes by none other than Adam Beyer, Umek, Smith & Selway, Claude Yo

Promo

The sound of Promo is paradoxically described by him as ‘accessible dark’. Promo’s typical rough sound is known thanks to the catchy hook that he can give to his productions. One of the most characterising elements of Promo’s work is his Basskick on which he worked on for years and is imitated and sampled globally. This indicates the influence and importance of his productions on other producers worldwide.

In the spring of 2007 Sebastian Hoff linked his artist-name to a large scale event for the first time. In the shape of Q-Dance Promo had found a partner which could realize ‘The Resistance Below’. A carefully chosen subtitle symbolizing the rebel approach which characterizes Promo. With an impressive production, interactive elements and a list of next generation deejays, Promo’s beloved music genre got what it deserved at the HMH, Amsterdam. After the successful first edition, the sold-out ‘Shadowbox’ followed in 2008 and a year later ‘Sound System Command’.

Like his alter-ego Rude Awakening whom performed at Awakenings and 5 Days Off, Promo used both hands to grab the chance to play at the Lowlands festival in the summer of 2008. Even with past horror stories still hanging around, he won over many skeptics with his raw and up-tempo sound. A follow-up was imminent and so in 2009 Promo received the invitation to perform on one of the main stages of the festival.

The Wishmaster

With his mystical and devious alter-ego, The Wishmaster is actually a pretty down to earth person. Letting his music do the talking, Fulvio Stramaccioni has been going strong ever since his debut release. It was the year 2000, the Italian hardcore scene was booming at full volume and suddenly The Wishmaster name appeared on D-Boy Records. The 10-inch ‘Let’s run riot’ did indeed run a riot and earn...ed Fulvio a resident spot at the infamous Gheodrome club in Rimini, Italy. After years of playing at underground raves in Rome, The Wishmaster finally found his momentum! It didn’t take long before he crossed Europe and beyond to make his appearance at raves like Defqon1, Masters Of Hardcore and Ground Zero.

Ever since, Fulvio has been working solid in the studio creating his vision of hardcore, dark and fierce. His style is accessible, melodic and yet he never fears a little sharp edge through the music. The Wishmaster has worked together with some of the greatest names in the scene, including Nosferatu and Promo. Other interesting cooperations include ‘Tales from the white widow’ with Life Runs Red of Armageddon Project or his remix for Delta 9s ‘No more regrets’.

Gers Pardoel Live

John Dahlbäck is further testament to the theory that when it comes to overly talented musical homelands, there could indeed be something in Sweden’s water. Born in 1985 in a small village near Stockholm, he landed his first record deal aged just 15 while most of his peers were just discovering clubs. Just a few years later he was already the proud owner of a worldwide respected label, had a strin...g of well-known productions to his name and a reputation for quietly turning out some of the best house melodies you could hope to hear.

With a family background boasting more music than the Von Trapps it’s no surprise he was instantly hooked – his mum sings in a jazz band, his dad drummed in a prog rock band, and various aunts and uncles played piano, guitar and more, so he was hardly stuck for inspiration or opinions to help him get started. Learning the basics on his dad’s Atari computer he soon established his own style, and his second demo, a jazz-influenced, deep house number called Night Flash, earned him a record deal with Route 33.

After five successful years running his Pickadoll label, John started his own label "Mutants", “I had a real vision about the label,” says John Dahlbäck. “I can hear within a couple of seconds whether a track will fit, and I love doing this kind of organised work – sending out promos and looking for licenses – otherwise I’m just a slave to the studio!”

Ophidian Live

At 5 years old, Conrad Hoyer started piano lessons, sparking a carreer with many twists and turns through different styles of music. Using keyboards and cassette recorders Conrad started recording his first songs and mixes in 1993, 11 years old at the time. By 1995 hardcore music had become very infuential for the Dutch youth and he started using comp...uter software to write hardcore songs. With the artists of the Ruffneck label as main lead he worked on perfecting his technique, specialising in fast, breakbeat-orriented juno-sound hardcore. In 1998 DJ Ruffneck was convinced of Conrad's talent after recieving a 4 track cd-demo, and asked him if he would like to join his labels Gangsta and Supreme Intelligence. And thus at 16 years old Conrad became the youngest artist to join the crew.
The period '98-'00 can be seen as a learning period in which Conrad released a few records as Trypticon and a few more tracks as Ophidian, but was still struggling to be consistent and to find an own place within the hardcore scene.
Jesse Garcia

The momentum for Jesse Garcia as a DJ started building in 1987 when he followed his vocation and submerged in the magic world of music. To satisfy his expanding artistry, apart from working as a DJ and producer, Jesse currently feels a position of A&R at two record labels: Tribal Spain and Electric Spain Recordings.

As a result of the labels successful performance, and Jesses work as producer for the labels, Jesse Garcia has become one of the most popular DJs at the national level. Besides, his professionalism can be appreciated from numerous solid remixes he has made for such internationally famous artists like Lee Cabrera, Harry Chocho Romero, Copyright feat. Showell, Steve Angello, Celeda, Peter Presta, Milk&Sugar , Frank'o Moriagui, Dub Deluxe, just to name a few.

During his performance as a DJ, playing in the best world night clubs, Jesse shared the turntables with DJ giants like Roger Sanchez, Axwell, Martjin Ten Velden, Bush ii Bush, David Vendetta, Jerry Ropero, Gaudino, Sara G, Dean Coleman, Tom De Neef and many other DJs.

Jesses work was rewarded on various occasions. At an early stage of his career, in 1990 he became Vice-Champion of Catalonia at the prestigious championship Turntable of DMC (Disco Mix Club). The year 2005 proved to be one of the peak years of Jesses career: he was awarded by Technics DJ Awards for his great contribution to Tribal House genre, and also earned a Deejaymags nomination in "DJ Revelation" category.
JP

Pleasurekraft

Q: Who is Pleasurekraft??
A: Kaveh & Kalle's baby (immaculately conceived of course)

Q: What is Pleasurekraft??
A: A simultaneously visceral and cerebral experience induced only by the seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground techno inspired music that you hear the kids listening to .. - Common side effects include: unrelenting head bobbing giving way to complete surrender to physical moveme...nt commonly referred to as 'dancing'.

Q: Where is Pleasurekraft??
A: In your CD/tape deck/vinyl/mp3/neighborhood Club/Lounge - anywhere where organically inspired synthetic music lurks, ready to jump in your skin and make you move! However, the most concentrated "red spots" have appeared to be in 2 distinct locations - Stockholm, Sweden, and Miami, Florida.

Q: When is Pleasurekraft??
A: Since the dawn of man, to the future of our future of our future.....

Q: Why is Pleasurekraft??
A: Because we are hedonists and when the groove captures you - all you can do is surrender with pleasure.
Afrojack

The stars must've been aligned just right when Nick van de Wall (better known as Afrojack) saw his first ray of light. Music was his first love since his early youth. He started playing piano when he was only five. Being a very creative student, Afrojack spent most of his time listening to all kinds of music while studying. It was no surprise that it didn't take him long to turn the tables and start making music instead of just listening to it.

Afrojack’s rise to fame as a producer has brought him a roll call of A-list champions – from Pete Tong to David Guetta, and Josh Wink to Fedde Le Grand, along the way collaborating with some of the world’s most respected producers and artists like David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Kid Cudi, Pitbull and Black Eyed Peas.

His most recent single, ‘Take Over Control ft. Eva Simons’, is currently one of the hottest club anthems on the planet, not least in the UK where it’s been championed by Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Pete Tong. The track also hit No 2. on Beatport and has already reached over 1 million views on YouTube.

In 2011 Afrojack was rewarded with the respectable Grammy award for the remix of Madonna’s ‘Revolver’ in collaboration with David Guetta.
Respected by his colleague DJ’s for his production skills and loved by clubbers for his dancefloor bombs and energetic performances, Afrojack is setting new standards in the industry.

Alpha²

They call themselves “Twins” but despite this name the brothers Arjen and Anco are no twins at all. Yet behind the turntables the two will strike you as being identical, because of their similar taste in music and mutual agreement.

The Alpha² started as residents at the Qlubtempo parties in Zaandam. This was their breakthrough for a large group of people. In these performances they’ve showed tha...t “Alpha²” is synonym to rough hardstyle. They played at the biggest events and festivals such as : Qlimax, Defqon.1, Hard Bass, Q-Base, Mystery Land, and Decibel.
The brothers also travelled to a lot of foreign countries like : Germany, Swiss, Austria, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, UK, and Estonia.

After several releases on different labels (Q-dance, SYS-X, Mythica and Paint It Black) they decided it was time to start their own record label (April, 2008)
The name for this label wasn’t hard to come up with. Since they have been dj-ing as Alpha² (logo) for many years now they thought the only logical name should be A² Records.
The first release was a Alpha² solo ofcourse and sold many copies. Now after less then one year the 7th release is already scheduled.
With new upcoming hardstyle talent dj’s such as B-Front and Ran-D A² Records is on it’s way to become a highly respected label with it’s own unique sound.

Breakage

Breakage aka James Boyle is never been one to be pigeonholed. Moving effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep, Breakage has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date. A prodigious talent, he already has a number of classic releases under his belt but continues to develop his sound. Combining rich tones and a sense of spaciousness in the mix, ...Breakage’s music is both subtle yet devastatingly effective.

Never afraid to make an impact, he burst onto the drum and bass scene back in 2000, announcing his arrival with a raucous remix of a hardcore classic, Nasty Habit’s ‘Here Come the Drums’ on Reinforced. He backed up this bold move, however, with a series of EPs for the legendary label proving he was no young pretender. Breakage was at the forefront of a new wave of breakbeat scientists bringing a percussive sound back to drum and bass at a time when the scene seemed to have forgotten it’s jungle roots.

Breakage continued his good form dropping a number of sort after releases for the Inperspective label, his remix of Equinox’s ‘Acid Rain’ twisted the Amen break to new levels and served as a rallying call for producers looking to bring back the original drum and bass sound. Further releases came on labels including Critical and Scientific Wax, before his debut album release in 2006 ‘This To Shall Pass’ gained wide spread critical acclaim and included s

Sidney Samson

As a seven year old boy, Sidney started playing the guitar. From there on he knew that he wanted to make music for the rest of his life.

After seeing a couple of DMC mix championships, his interests were going towards dj-ing. He started dj-ing in 1995 at the age of 14. During that time he mainly played RnB and HipHop tunes at local clubs. He switched his style completely into housemusic in 1999 and
became the resident DJ of the ‘Exxellent’ nights at one of Holland’s biggest clubs The Matrixx in 2003. His producing skills really took off in that period.

His first real club banger was called ‘Sidney Samson-It’s all funked up!’ (Spinnin’ Records 2003).
After this release, Sidney knew that he couldn’t stop here and locked himself up in his studio. ‘Nobody Move’, ’Rock This’, ‘Girls’, ‘Aeroplane’ and ‘Viruz’ were some resulting floor fillers, to name but a few.

In 2007, after a few successful collaborations with Gregor Salto, they decided to start a new record label named Samsobeats. On this label, new tracks are released from the hottest new DJ’s and producers who showed their talents to the world. Samsobeats wants to set a new feeling instead of a particular sound. That’s why you can expect very various tracks, from electro to latin. Every release must have the potential to grow into a floor filler.
With the Skitzofrenix he was responsib

Aly & Fila

Aly Amr Fathalah (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila), the Egyptian duo, were both born in 1981 and have known each other since kindergarten. After falling in love with the music of Paul Van Dyk, Steve Helstrip and Chicane they built their first small studio and started doing electronic music and djing from 1999. After establishing themselves in Egypt they decided to go international. In 2002, they signed with the German record label, Euphonic Records. Their first release, "Eye of Horus" received huge airplay from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiësto and many others. The track was licensed to Fundamental Recordings in Holland and reached number 4 position in the Dutch Dance charts.
After finishing their contract with Euphonic Records, Fila met with Andy Prinz and they decided to launch their first sublabel of Offshore. Upcoming Egyptian releases would follow.
